My client is looking for a self motivated, confident person with excellent communication skills to work as Health, Safety & Environmental Manager in our Fresh Produce business.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the key responsibilities will be:
• reducing health and safety risks through monitoring and implementing new initiatives
• providing advice and guidance to managers and staff on health and safety issues on site
• formulating new health and safety and environmental policies and procedures
• undertaking health and safety and environmental related projects
• reacting and managing day to day changes and issues and ensuring legal compliance
• support in the design and delivery of appropriate training to promote good standards of health and safety and practice
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following competencies:
•
• excellent working knowledge of legislation and world class HS&E practice
• demonstrable experience of health and safety practice, ideally gained in a manufacturing environment
• exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• energetic and enthusiastic about driving positive change in the workplace
• hold a recognised health and safety qualificatio
•n
• have experience of ISO14001 and BRC accreditations |
